Your 6 days trip from Tangier begins with your arrival in Tangier. After breakfast, embark on a drive to Fes. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or riad and spend the rest of the day exploring the historic city. Visit the Royal Palace, stroll through the Mellah, and explore the ancient Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Leave Fes and travel through the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, often called “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and visit the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot playful Barbary macaques. Continue to Boulaajoul, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Depart from Boulaajoul and travel through the scenic Ziz Valley. Visit the town of Rissani and explore its traditional market. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, and then travel through the picturesque Ziz Valley, taking in the stunning landscapes. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset and spend the night in a traditional desert camp, enjoying dinner and Berber music under the stars.
Start your day with the mesmerizing sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel, where your adventure continues. Explore the fascinating region, beginning with an off-road visit to an ancient kohl mine, followed by a visit to a nomadic family in their traditional tent. Learn about their way of life while sipping Berber tea and enjoying their warm hospitality.
Next, head to the vibrant village of Khamlia to experience the soulful Gnawa music and immerse yourself in its rich cultural heritage. Enjoy dinner and a cozy night at your hotel, reflecting on the day’s unique and unforgettable experiences.
Leave the desert and head toward the stunning Dades Valley. Stop at Rissani to explore its traditional markets, and visit the dramatic Todra Gorge, known for its towering cliffs. Take a walk through the valley, admire its lush palm groves, and end your day in Dades.
Drive through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital. Visit the Atlas Film Studios and the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, famous for its role in many films. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
