Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate
We will pick you up once we have met you at your place of lodging, and then we will drive you via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass in the direction of Ouarzazate, which is located at an elevation of 2,260 meters. We make a stoppage in order to snap some photographs that will be remembered for a long time and to take in the breathtaking views of the mountains of the High Atlas and the Berber settlements that are located next to the road. Also, you will get a lunch break while you are traveling. We will next continue our journey of Morocco, which will last for six days, by going to the town of Ait Benhaddou, where you will have the opportunity to view the fascinating Kasbah that is named after the settlement. As a result of its location on a hill overlooking the rich Ounila River, this Kasbah has become a well-known settlement. It has been featured in a number of films, including “The Man Who Would Be King,” “Jewel of the Nile,” “Jesus of Nazareth,” “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” and “The Message.” Then, we make our way towards the city of Ouarzazate, where you will have the opportunity to stop by Taourirt’s Kasbah and spend some time seeing the Atlas movie studios. Spend the night in Ouarzazate, followed by supper.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skoura - Kalaat M'Gouna - Dades Gorges
Immediately after the completion of your breakfast at the hotel, you depart Ouarzazate in the direction of Todra Gorges. During your time in the Oasis of Skoura, you will get the opportunity to explore the stunning Kasbah of Amerhidil. Here, you will be awestruck by the vast Palm Groves and the breathtaking beauty of the Atlas Mountains. First, we will make our way to Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as the Roses Valley, and then we will take a break for lunch. After some time has passed, we go in order to travel to the Todra gorges, via the Valley of Dades, which is a valley that has one thousand Kasbahs, Boumalne, and Tinghir. You will have the opportunity to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the river environment. Continue down the river until you reach the gorges, where you will spend the night, supper, and overnight beside the Todra River.
Day 3: Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Rissani – Merzouga
Following the completion of our meal, Toudra valley, where you will have the opportunity to take in breathtaking vistas of historic mud Berber settlements that are situated on the outskirts of the valley. We are going to go for a stroll in the gorge that is located below the red cliffs that are estimated to be 300 meters high. Following that, we will continue on our drive towards Erfoud and Rissani, where we will have a lunch break before continuing on to Sahara. Desert of Merzouga. There will be a refreshing mint tea waiting for you when you arrive, That will be followed by the camel riding experience. After spending an hour exploring the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi with the assistance of an expert guide, you will then retire for the night in a typical Berber nomad tent and spend the night beneath the stars.
Day 4: Merzouga - Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes (Gnawa Music, Black Desert, Nomad People)
Following your visit to the village and oasis of Merzouga, you will have the opportunity to meet the Gnawa people, who were originally brought from Sudan as slaves. You will also have the opportunity to listen to their music and observe their way of life. Following this, we will continue to take in the breathtaking scenery that lies behind the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will be able to take a number of photographs and observe how the colors of the dunes change as the sun shines. We make a halt at M’Fis after traveling to the hamlet of Mirdani, which is a historic settlement that has been reduced to ruins. This is the place where coal was mined and the bulk of the people who lived in Merzouga labored to make a livelihood. Today is going to be a really exciting day for you since you are going to spend it in close proximity to the dunes, which are the tallest dunes in Morocco. Following our visit to the village of Mirdani, we will continue on to visit the Bedouin families who are making their homes in tents at Erg Chebbi. While there, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea. Following this, we will continue our tour by going to a location where you will be able to view fossils and the Tissardmine oasis. Finally, we will make our way back to the hotel or riad in Merzouga in the afternoon.
Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Errachidia - Midelt
This morning, you will have the opportunity to take some time off and relax; you may choose to either relax or go explore the area that the hotel is located in. Following lunch, we will make our way to the city of Midelt by passing via Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia, Rich, and the Tizi N’Talghom Pass, which is located at an elevation of 1907 meters. Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif is going to be your destination for a brief stay; while you are there, you may as well take a stroll around the Rissani Souk.
Day 6: Midelt - Cedar Forest - Azrou - Ifran – Fes
Continuing on our journey to Errachidia, our next destination is the breathtaking panorama of Aoufous Oasis, which we will visit. Later on, you will be able to travel through Errachidia, also known as the military town, due of the many guardians that it has. There is a possibility that we may capture some photographs at the Barrage Hassan Adakhil. Following your breakfast, you will be able to take in the breathtaking panoramas of Jebel Aachi Mountain, which is characterized by snow-covered summits. After leaving the village of Midelt, we will travel in the direction of Azrou, where you will have lunch and have the opportunity to explore this Berber town. In the future, you will have the opportunity to see the ancient tree and interact with the apes who live in the Cedar Forest. During our trip to Ifran, sometimes known as “The Moroccan Switzerland,” you will have the opportunity to see and photograph a stone lion. Carry on with our journey over Imouzzer Kander in the direction of Fes intersection. You will next arrive in Fes and go to the lodging of your choosing once you have arrived. From Marrakech to Fes, our Morocco vacation that lasted for six days has come to an end.
